The Hunt For a Home

So far in our short journey, Skatetown has acquired enough skates to equip two rinks and a floor to skate on. The next major step is to find a property or building that meets all of our requirements. The building would need to be 20,000 sq. ft. at minimum, or a property that can hold such a building with room for parking. If it is a pre-existing structure, it cannot have beams inside that would impede skating. Property taxes that are $5-$7 per are sq. would not be sustainable for a rink that has an estimated gross in the 250k-275k annually range. Location really does mean everything. Accessibility and affordability are two very important factors in our search. If you have recommendations of properties, or buildings with reasonable tax rates in Kitsap County, please contact us at realestate@skatetown.org .
