We spent a good portion of the week talking with event coordinators, venue/facility owners, insurance companies. No big announcements to make but chipping away at how to take next steps one day at a time. As a reminder you can see what we have going on any time here at
https://skatetown.org/index.php/todo-project-status/ or by clicking through the contact us menu. See something you can help with PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reach out to info@skatetown.org and let us know how you can help, there is more work then there is hours in the day.
- Reach out to CKHS decision makers and have a conversation about facilities they have available (nothing in the short term from the sounds of it). Set up meeting within the next two weeks to look at how we can partner for kids long term.
- Reach out to Ian and Ashley over at Unity Skate Shop in Port Orchard to see about an alignment/partnership to get a rink going in Kitsap.
- Get some administrative stuff around accounts and credentials into management for different services we use.
- Pick up a handful of DMX stage lights in preparation of doing a popup event/going into a facility.
- Research out and start pulling together what is needed for a sound system to do a pop up/operate a facility. (buy a microphone, test what we purchased as salvage, etc)
- Follow up with Disabled American Veterans after contact was made at Kitsap Pride.
- Initiate a conversation with Kitsap Jr. Derby about involvement/space for the juniors in the area. Good alignment wants to work together/waiting on a space.
- Evaluate and ultimately decide to not officially participate in a couple local events (scheduling/coverage limitations). Likely will show up without an official booth.
- Order professional banners to put up at events (Evaluate as option for sponsor package)
